Acceptable Use & Community Safety Policy
Download PDF1. Scope
This Acceptable Use and Community Safety Policy (this "Policy") applies to everyone who uses the TeamThrive mobile applications, the TeamThrive website at teamthrive.com, and all related features, content, and services (collectively, the "Platform") operated by TeamThrive ("TeamThrive," "we," "our," or "us"), a product operated by [TeamThrive Legal Entity Name], a [entity type] organized under the laws of [State/Country], with its principal place of business at [Address]. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Because the Platform serves youth athletes, the safety of children is our highest priority, and we enforce this Policy accordingly.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
Only athletes aged thirteen (13) and older may directly access the Platform, and then only with verifiable parental or guardian consent and only to view their own profile and schedule. A profile for an athlete under thirteen (13) may exist only where created and managed by a parent or legal guardian (or by a club or coach acting with documented parental consent). Adults must be at least eighteen (18). You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.
3. Child Safety: Zero Tolerance
We have zero tolerance for any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or harms a child. The following are strictly prohibited and, where unlawful, will be reported to law enforcement and, in the United States, to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC):
- Any sexual content involving or depicting a minor, or any attempt to produce, request, share, or access such content.
- Grooming or any attempt to develop an inappropriate relationship with a minor, including soliciting a minor's personal contact details, attempting to move communication with a minor off the Platform, or seeking to meet a minor privately.
- Bullying, harassment, threats, intimidation, or abuse directed at any person, and in particular at a minor.
- Sharing a minor's personal information without the consent of that minor's parent or legal guardian.
4. Prohibited Content and Conduct Generally
You may not use the Platform to:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, violent, or otherwise inappropriate, including inappropriate imagery of any person.
- Violate the privacy or intellectual property rights of others, or upload content you do not have the right to share.
- Engage in fraud, spam, or deceptive practices, or distribute malware.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data about users, in particular minors, or access the Platform by automated means except as we expressly permit.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.
- Use the Platform in a way that violates the rules of a league, association, or governing body, or any applicable law.
5. Photographs and Video
Content depicting a minor may be uploaded only by, or with the documented consent of, that minor's parent or legal guardian, and must be appropriate. Content that sexualizes a minor, or that is otherwise inappropriate, is prohibited and will be removed. [Confirm the product's controls over who may upload and view media of minors, and any restrictions on direct messaging between adults and minor athletes; align this Policy with the actual design.]
6. Responsibilities of Clubs and Coaches
Clubs, organizations, and coaches must use the Platform only for legitimate team purposes, must obtain any consents required from athletes and their parents or guardians, must follow the safeguarding rules of their governing bodies, and must not use the Platform to contact minors for purposes unrelated to the team or in violation of this Policy.
7. Reporting and Enforcement
To report a safety concern or a violation of this Policy, contact [safety@teamthrive.com] or use any in-Platform reporting tool. We may investigate, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe this Policy has been violated or where action is necessary to protect a user, in particular a child. We may preserve and disclose information as required by law or to protect safety. We cooperate with law enforcement on child-safety matters.
